He has also been a pioneer in the infrastructure development in US, after spending a long stint there. His recent project regarding the distribution of waste food to the needful with the name of project “AAHAAR” reflects another image of a philanthropist who wants to change the world with his virtues. He believes in the concept of “bread for all” and hence started a new venture in order to provide food to every individual in the society, avoiding the wastage of food as well as feed others. A patron, who thinks that the health of every individual is a wealth in itself. He has also proposed and started establishment of a hospital and an IT wing that would help to provide health support to individuals of all ethnicity. The Root foundation has started its inception from western India Through its team, thousands of volunteers and grassroots partner organizations. The Root Foundation reaches out urban underutilized material to far-flung village communities to address their basic needs, using it as a resource to motivate them to address a plethora of development issues like education, sanitation, women’s health, water conservation, infrastructure etc. based on their varied needs. While the Root Foundation matches the urban material with specific needs of local village communities, actual recipients of the amenities are tied to local communities working on specific local issues that are self-identified by them.
Mr. Tanuj Patel’s work goes to a core challenge of the time when there are a complete contradiction and the growing gap between the urban prosperity & rural poverty. He focuses on the large-scale development work on diverse issues in some of the most backward and remote places of India. In the process, he has created a model for a parallel economy which is not cash based but trash based. He has made the mostly passive urban and rural masses, prime stakeholders and actors in addressing their own needs, solving their own problems. This has been done by channelizing resources to create empowerment and development in rural India. He considers vital work to changing mindsets about the immense humanitarian potential in reuse and demonstrating a model that delivers as promised for women upliftment through their basic hygiene needs. He believes in creating a balance in nature by not only sufficing the human needs but also balancing the nature by provision of bird protection services, conversation of water, deforestation and saving birds, natural resources and trees. He is also taken a project to build a hospital that would undertake the health and welfare issues in the Anand City. He also focuses on the provision of health and welfare facility to the retired army officials and the widows to provide the health support that may be a prime requisite of these specially categorized people of the society who may not have a complete family support to be with them when they are physically not stable.
Mr. Patel is now focused on ensuring that more people across the globe replicate his idea and help bridge the massive gap between social and economic inequities between urban prosperity and rural poverty through The Roots Foundation. Through Roots Foundation, he has also introduced a new project to feed everybody by feeding them with the leftover food. This project is named as “AAHAAR” which is the healthy food for all.
One thing is inevitable about this gentleman and that is “good work”. A man with clarity, patience, virtues, warmth, passion, hospitality is unstoppable for his dreams and turning them to reality. All his undertakings are for the people and by them. He has also dreamt about the inception of a multi-specialty hospital and a virtual call center for the same with the name T-Square Hospital and T-Square Infotech. He is persistent with his project and overwhelming in thinking and doing good in the society.
