NEEM – ENVIRONMENT

Prophetic words! Today we are on the brink of environmental disaster. Our insatiable greed has led us to this.
Theodore Roosevelt aptly lamented:
“Here is your country. Cherish these natural wonders, cherish the natural resources, cherish the history and romance as a sacred heritage, for your children and your children’s children. Do not let selfish men or greedy interests skin your country of its beauty, its riches or its romance.”
We did not listen. It’s not yet too late. We can mend the earth, provided we amend ourselves. Let’s all jointly confront the situation. Mother earth will definitely listen to its children.
We at Sanskriti consider environment to be our best friend. A healthy environment ensures a better and healthy living. To protect the environment Sankriti wishes to embark on:
- Planting of trees and distribution of free saplings.
- Spreading the importance of mangroves and their positive effect on environment.
- Plastic cleanup drives for effective drainage system.
- Spreading awareness about the harmful effects of use of plastics on the environment.
- Promoting environment friendly carrying and packaging options as substitute of plastic.
- Save Our Sparrow’ campaign. Once India was the hub of sparrows. India was once referred to as the Golden Sparrow. The Sparrows were found in abundance in India. It’s an irony that such a peaceful, loving and harmless bird in now hard to find in our country. Sanskriti believes in saving this tiny bird for our future generations. Thus we have made small homes like structure to provide for this tiny bird.
